Prerequisites for Installation

Before installing the NoetixViews Workbench, make sure that the following prerequisites have been met:

Review the system requirements, and make sure that the minimum requirements have been met. For information, see the “System Requirements” section in the MagnitudeNoetixViews Workbench Release Notes. The document is available with the setup files. For the latest copy of the document, see
Article No. 000008032 (INFO: Documentation for Noetix Views Workbench) on the Knowledge area of the insightsoftware Support Community.

Verify that you have administrator rights on the computer on which you intend to install the software.

Verify that the tnsnames.ora file has been validated by the Oracle Net Configuration Assistant tool. For information, see the Oracle Database documentation.

The tnsnames.ora file cannot be specified in the IFILE.
