Removing Legacy Customizations

The NoetixViews Workbench allows you to remove all the captured legacy customization scripts from the legacy package if you do not want to use them.

To remove legacy customizations

  1. Select an environment corresponding to a NoetixViews schema and validate the schema credentials. For information, see Selecting an Environment in "Working with Environments."

  2. On the NoetixViews Workbench home page, click Advanced. The Advanced page appears.

  3. Click Capture Legacy Customizations, and click Next. The Advanced » Capture Legacy Customizations page appears.

  4. If you do not want to capture any legacy customizations or if you have no legacy customizations in the NoetixViews schema of your environment, do the following:

    1. Under Do you have any legacy customizations for '<environment name>', click No.

    2. Click Next. The Capture Legacy Customizations page appears indicating that the environment is ready.

    3. Click Home. The NoetixViews Workbench home page will appear.

    4. Remove all the legacy customization scripts from theCustomfolder and the NoetixViews schema folder.

    5. Stage the empty legacy package to the NoetixViews schema folder.

    6. Run Stage 4 to apply the customizations to the NoetixViews schema.

  5. If you want to remove the already captured legacy customizations, do the following:

    1. Under Do you still want NoetixViews Workbench to manage your legacy customizations for you?, click No. A message appears indicating that you must delete the legacy customization scripts from the legacy package, then stage and re-run stage 4 before using the NoetixViews schema in the NoetixViews Workbench.

    2. Click Next. The Manage Packages page appears with the legacy package.

    3. Remove all the legacy customization scripts from the legacy package.

    4. Stage the empty legacy package to the NoetixViews schema folder of your environment.

    5. Run Stage 4.
