Prerequisites

The following are the prerequisites to generate or regenerate a Noetix Search (Noetix Search) instance:

  • In the tnsnames.ora file, make sure that only one service name is specified for the connection that is used for connecting to the Oracle Database on which the Noetix Views (NoetixViews), Noetix Analytics for Oracle E-Business Suite (Noetix Analytics), or RapidDecision schema resides.

  • The credentials for accessing the metadata for NoetixViews, Noetix Analytics, or RapidDecision are available.

  • For NoetixViews, the Stage 4 and AnswerBuilder stages must be completed to generate a Noetix Search instance.

  • Use Noetix Search Builder to generate a Noetix Search instance for Noetix Analytics or RapidDecision whenever there are changes in the Active Metadata Repository (AMDR).

  • Regenerate all instances of Noetix Search for NoetixViews, Noetix Analytics, and RapidDecision whenever a new version of Noetix Search is installed.
