Update Repository Owner Password

After installing Noetix Views Workbench (NoetixViews Workbench), you may want to update the password of the NoetixViews Workbench repository owner to comply with the security policy in your organization. This section provides instructions for updating the password of the NoetixViews Workbench repository owner.

The ChangeRepositoryPasswords.bat command-line program can be used for updating the password of the NoetixViews Workbench repository owner.

IMPORTANT: The program can be used for updating only the password that the NoetixViews Workbench uses for accessing the repository. The database password must be changed separately before the program is run. The program can also be used for updating the password of the Noetix Enterprise Manager repository owner. For information, see the readme.txt file provided with the program.

To update repository owner password

  1. Stop the NoetixEnterpriseManager service.

  2. On the computer where Noetix Enterprise Manager (Noetix Enterprise Manager) is installed, open a Command Prompt window, and navigate to the folder that contains the ChangeRepositoryPasswords.bat file. By default, the ChangeRepositoryPasswords.bat file is available in <installation folder>\Noetix\Noetix Enterprise

  3. At the command prompt, type the following command, and press Enter:

ChangeRepositoryPasswords.bat <repository owner password for Noetix Enterprise Manager> <repository owner password for NoetixViews Workbench>

If only one of the repository owner passwords is updated in the database, you need to provide the other, unchanged password as well. If only one password is provided, it will be set as the new password for both repository owners.

  1. Start the NoetixEnterpriseManager service.
