How to Generate Metadata for Use in BI Tool
The following stage-description table provides the process for generating metadata with the use of the Angles for Oracle Generator Service into BI tools.
Stage | Description |

1. | Install the Angles for Oracle Generator Service on a computer that will act as the central store of metadata for NoetixViews and Noetix Analytics. |
2. | Use the Noetix Data Source Administrator to set up a data source for NoetixViews or Noetix Analytics. |
3. | Use the Noetix Data Source Administrator to load the metadata about the data source into the metadata cache. |
4. | Install the Angles for Oracle Generator on the Tableau Desktop workstations. |
5. | Open the Angles for Oracle Generator on one of the workstations. |
6. | Select the view or relationship set components that need to be in the report, configure the filters, and save the workbook. |
7. | Open the Tableau data source in the Tableau Desktop, perform further configuration of the workbook, and make the report available to users. |
8. | Maintain the workbook through the Tableau Desktop thereafter. |
