About Capture Process

When you capture the legacy customizations of your NoetixViews schema, the NoetixViews Workbench compares the .zip file created for the NoetixViews schema installation folder against the scripts.cab file. During the capture process, a legacy package that will be created will be used by the NoetixViews Workbench to manage your legacy customizations.

The existing wnoetxu2.sql and wnoetxu5.sql files in the NoetixViews schema installation folder are renamed as wnoetxu2 legacy.sql and wnoetxu5 legacy.sql and added to the legacy package. Thereafter, new wnoetxu2.sql and wnoetxu5.sql scripts are generated and added to the legacy package. When the NoetixViews Workbench customizations are applied in your NoetixViews schema, the wnoetxu2 legacy.sql and wnoetxu5 legacy.sql scripts are invoked and run through the new wnoetxu2.sql and wnoetxu5.sql scripts.
