Using Guided Navigation

To perform a search using guided navigation

  1. In the Noetix Search home page, select the instance that you want to search from the Search in list. For more information about how to select an instance, see Selecting an Instance.

  2. Select the check box against the object type that you want to search in the guided navigation area. The list of all available objects is displayed.

NOTE: To further narrow down the search, type the keyword or phrase in the SEARCH box, and click Go. The search result lists all the searched objects.

  1. In the category filter section of the guided navigation area, click the category or subcategory name to navigate the search by category. The category is expanded to display the navigation filters. [Screen Shot]

  2. Click a navigation filter by which you want to narrow the search. This further narrows the navigation filters across different categories. You can click navigation filters across categories to further narrow down the search results.

  3. Click an object in the list to view the details of the object.
