About Log Files
What Is a Log File?
A log file is created each time you complete running the Noetix Platform Prerequisite Checker (Prerequisite Checker) on your computer. The log file contains detailed information about the selected Noetix Platform components, the result of each prerequisite check, and the associated checks. This data is stored in an encrypted form in the log file.
A log file is created each time you run the Noetix Analytics for Oracle E-Business Suite Prerequisite Checker (Prerequisite Checker) on your computer. The log file contains detailed information about the selected Noetix Analytics for Oracle E-Business Suite (Noetix Analytics) components, the result of each prerequisite check, and the associated checks. This data is stored in an encrypted form in the log file.
Location of Log Files
Log files are stored at <hard disk drive>:\Program Files\Common Files\Noetix\Logs.
Naming Convention of Log Files
The log file name indicates the computer on which the Prerequisite Checker was run, the mode of running the software, and the date and time of the check.
The log file name comprises three parts as shown in the following example:
The following table explains each part of the file name:
Part | What does it indicate |
Part 1 | The computer on which the prerequisite check was done. In this example, the computer name is TESTSRV. |
Part 2 | The method used for running the Prerequisite Checker. In this example, it has been run using the standalone client. If Prerequisite Checker is run as part of the Noetix Platform setup, the value will be Platform <version> Setup. For Noetix Analytics, the default method is Standalone Checker as the Prerequisite Checker is not a part of the Noetix Analytics setup. |
Part 3 | The date and time on which the prerequisite check was run. In this example, the check was run on January 17, 2007 at 19:13:29. |
