Angles Hub 24.3 Release Notes
This topic describes the new features, resolved issues, and known issues for Angles Hub 24.3, released in September 2024.
New Features
The new features in Angles Hub 24.3 are as follows:
Assign users with specific Oracle-E-Business Suite responsibility
Associate the Angles Hub user with an Oracle E-Business Suite user to utilize the row-level security provided in the AE4O security manager. This applies to generators for OBIEE, OAS, OAC, Cognos, and Business Objects.
[ANGO-3262]
Support for Hybrid Data Pipeline (HDP) - ViewsLite
Apart from the Tns and Direct connection types, you can utilize the HDP connection type to link your Oracle database to the Angles Hub. Hybrid Data Pipeline (HDP) enables you to consume or share data in a timely and compliant manner, independent of the application or location of the data.
[ANGO-3225]
Enable report migration from Noetix Web Query (NWQ) - Excel
You can now seamlessly migrate NWQ reports into Angles Hub using NWQ metadata—such as reports, views, columns, parameters, and filters—to ensure a smooth move to a standardized BI environment (Excel). You can import custom reports from public and personal folders, helping technical and project leaders get a head start on the migration process.
[ANGO-3205]
Support of key flexfields for non-financials
The support for accounting key flexfields in non-financial modules reduces implementation time to personalize views and improves efficiency in managing views. This feature simplifies configuration, eliminates manual view expansion, and enhances data accuracy and usability.
Support for Oracle Cloud 24B
Angles for Oracle-Views 24.2 supports Oracle Cloud 24B. All data pipelines and business views have been adjusted to reflect 24B changes, ensuring compatibility across Financials, Supply Chain Management, Project Portfolio Management, and Human Capital Management.
Row-level security on the human resources management module views
You can now enforce row-level security on the human resources management (HCM) views. The enhanced data security for HCM modules secures your HCM reports by inheriting security policies from Oracle ERP Cloud.
Support for optional parameters
When adding parameters to a report, you now have the option to specify whether the parameter is mandatory or optional by selecting the Is Optional field on the Add Parameters window.
Resolved issues
The resolved issues in Angles Hub 24.3 are as follows:
Re-extract metadata
When you tried to re-extract metadata, the extraction failed due to the change in the answer metadata.
Edit, save, or delete a report with a calculated column
When you tried to edit, save, or delete a report that had a calculated column, an error message was displayed.
Known issues
The known issues in Angles Hub 24.3 are as follows:
Edit a business view after deleting the required columns
If you delete the columns used in the joins while making changes to the SQL query for a business view, save the business view, and then try to edit the business view, an error message is displayed.
Non-compliance view name exceeds thirty characters
If the name of a non-compliance view (view without metadata) that is created directly in the database exceeds 30 characters, an error message is displayed while accessing that view in Angles Hub.
Left outer join displayed as right outer join
When you add a left outer join to a business view, save the view, and deploy it, a metadata synchronization process is initiated. However, during this synchronization, the left outer join appears to be displayed as a right outer join.
All columns appear for non-snapshot reports
When you open non-snapshot reports in Excel, Tableau, or Power BI, all columns appear instead of just the ones you selected when creating or editing the report in Angles Hub.
However, for snapshot reports, only the columns you selected in Angles Hub appear when you open the reports in Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
Password for Angles Hub (offline)
There are currently no specific password rules or policies in place for internal users creating passwords in the Angles Hub (offline).
Generate reports from the Search page
You will not be able to generate reports from the Search page as this option is being fixed during this release.
Enforce parameters or filters on the Sample Reports page
You will not be able to enforce parameters or filters before generating sample results on the Sample Results page as this option is being fixed during this release.
Parameter font size changes to seventy-two
When you open an Excel report and click any parameter, the font size changes to seventy-two.
Changes updated in the Excel Report
When you generate and open an Excel report, any changes you make to the report in Angles Hub are not automatically updated in the Excel report when you refresh.
