Angles Hub 24.2 Release Notes

This topic describes the new features, resolved issues, and known issues for Angles Hub 24.2, released in June 2024.

New Features

The new features in Angles Hub 24.2 are as follows:

Assign users with specific Oracle-E-Business Suite responsibility

Associate the Angles Hub user with an Oracle E-Business Suite user to utilize the rowlevel security provided in the AE4O security manager. This applies to generators for OBIEE, OAS, OAC, Cognos, and Business Objects.

[ANGO-3262]

Support for Hybrid Data Pipeline (HDP) - ViewsLite

Apart from the Tns and Direct connection types, you can utilize the HDP connection type to link your Oracle database to the Angles Hub. Hybrid Data Pipeline (HDP) enables you to consume or share data in a timely and compliant manner, independent of the application or location of the data.

[ANGO-3225]

Enable report migration from Noetix Web Query (NWQ) - Excel

You can now seamlessly migrate NWQ reports into Angles Hub using NWQ metadata— such as reports, views, columns, parameters, and filters—to ensure a smooth move to a standardized BI environment (Excel). You can import custom reports from public and personal folders, helping technical and project leaders get a head start on the migration process.

[ANGO-3205]

Support of key flexfields for non-financials

The support for accounting key flexfields in non-financial modules reduces implementation time to personalize views and improves efficiency in managing views. This feature simplifies configuration, eliminates manual view expansion, and enhances data accuracy and usability.

Support for Oracle Cloud 24B

Angles for Oracle-Views 24.2 supports Oracle Cloud 24B. All data pipelines and business views have been adjusted to reflect 24B changes, ensuring compatibility across Financials, Supply Chain Management, Project Portfolio Management, and Human Capital Management.

Row-level security on the human resources management module views

You can now enforce row-level security on the human resources management (HCM) views. The enhanced data security for HCM modules secures your HCM reports by inheriting security policies from Oracle ERP Cloud.

Support for optional parameters

When adding parameters to a report, you now have the option to specify whether the parameter is mandatory or optional by selecting the Is Optional field on the Add Parameters window.
