Configure HDP for Angles Hub
Angles Hub now provides an option to configure Hybrid Data Pipeline (HDP), a third-party component to extend its operational reporting capability of connecting to an on-premises data source from Cloud.
By connecting to HDP in Angles Hub, you can connect to an on-premises data source.
For more information on HDP, go to www.progresssoftware.com > Data Connectivity > Hybrid Data Pipeline.
To configure HDP for Angles Hub, perform the following steps:
Install HDP Connector
Ensure that your computer meets the system requirements as specified by Progress (Go to https://docs.progress.com/ and search for system requirements for the on-premises connector).
To install the HDP Connector, perform the following steps:

Download HDP and extract the files.

Download the appropriate regional redistributable file and replace the files with the other regional files in the folder containing HDP software, run the .exe file.

Install the software by selecting the default options.
Note: If a web proxy is in use, you have to configure proxy authentication.

On the Services Information window, enter User ID and Password provided by insightsoftware and make note of the Connector Label value.
If you receive the username and password error, select Continue. After successful installation, the HDP insightsoftware On-Premises Configuration app will run.
On the General tab, enter the User ID and Password values, and select Save.
Go to the Status tab and select Test. If the test is successful, you will see green tick marks against the check boxes.

Select Save.
You can close the HDP insightsoftware On-Premises Configuration app. The on-premises connector will now run automatically as a Windows service.
Register Oracle connection in the HDP server
Ensure to reset the password before registering Oracle connection in the HDP server.
To register an Oracle connection in the HDP server, perform the following steps:

Sign in to the HDP Server with credentials that are shared by insightsoftware.
On the Data Sources page, select + New Data Source. The Data Store page is displayed.
Search for Oracle and select it. The Create Oracle Data Source is displayed.

Enter the required details.
Note: Connector ID indicates the label used when installing the On-Premises Connector. User ID and Password indicate the Oracle database credentials where AE4O viewslite is configured.
Select Test to test the connection and select Save.
Register HDP Oracle connection in Angles Hub
Ensure to install HDP ODBC Driver in the network machine for Angels Hub to work with HDP.
To register HDP Oracle connection in Angles Hub, perform the following:
Go to the Angles Hub application.
Select Connection Manager > Create Connection. The Connections page is displayed.
In Platform, select Oracle.
In Connection Type, select HDP.
Enter the HDP username and password provided by insightsoftware.
Enter the other required details and select Connect. The HDP Oracle connection is created in Angles Hub.
