Configure Data Security

To configure data security, sign in to the Angles Hub and perform the following steps:

  1. Import Security Packages

  2. Initialize Security Packages

  3. Register Data Source Application

  4. Register BI Tool Application

  1. Import Security Packages

    1. Click Metadata > Import. The Import tab is displayed.

    2. In Connection, select any value from the list.

    3. In Target Schema, select the required schema.

    4. To import the replication packages for data security, drag and drop, or click to upload the appropriate files provided by the product support in the following order:

      1. User Data Replication Package

      2. Role Module Security Package

      3. Bundle Security Package, such as Financials, General Ledger, Human Resources Management (HCM), and Supply Chain Management (SCM)

    5. Click Import.

  2. Initialize Security Packages

    1. Click Replication. The Replication page is displayed.

    2. To replicate the tables from source to target for the security packages, click INITIALIZE.

      Note: For better performance, it is recommended to refresh the security packages after full load is complete.

  3. Register Data Source Application

    1. Click Administrator > Application Registration > Register application. The Application tab is displayed.

  4. Select the Application type as Data Source.

  5. Enter the required details, such as Application name, data source type, source and target connections.

  6. Select Same IDP if same IDP is used for OCA and Hub.

  7. Click Users. The Users tab is displayed.

  8. Click Add user.

  9. To map the OCA user to the Hub user, enter the required details, and then click Add user.

  • Register BI Tool Application

    1. Click Administrator > Application Registration > Register application. The Application tab is displayed.

    2. Select the Application type as BI Tool.

    3. Enter the name (friendly name) for the application that you are registering.

    4. Enter the type of the BI tool your organization uses to generate reports.

    5. Enter the name of the BI Tool Server your organization uses.

    6. Provide the data source that has to be linked to the BI tool application.

    7. Select Same IDP if same IDP is used for OCA and Hub.

    8. Click Users. The Users tab is displayed.

    9. Click Add user.

    10. To map Hub to BI Tool, enter the required details, and then click Add user.
