This chapter provides information about how to use the Angles for Oracle Generator with the Microsoft Power BI Desktop.

How to Use Angles for Oracle Generator

The high-level steps for using the Angles for Oracle Generator with Microsoft Power BI Desktop is as follows:

  1. As an administrator, set up a NoetixViews , Noetix Analytics, or RapidDecision data source in the Noetix Data Source Administrator.
  2. As an administrator, for the data source, load the metadata and configuration-specific information corresponding to the NoetixViews, Noetix Analytics, or RapidDecision instance into the metadata cache folder using the Noetix Data Source Administrator.
  3. Configure a Noetix connection for the NoetixViews, Noetix Analytics, or RapidDecision data source in the Angles for Oracle Generator.
  4. Load the NoetixViews, Noetix Analytics, or RapidDecision metadata into the Angles for Oracle Generator.
  5. As per your requirement, select DirectQuery or Import data connectivity mode for your report.
  6. For information about how to decide the correct data connectivity mode for your data source, see the "Usage Guidelines" section in Introduction.

  7. For the required metadata objects, create the interactive report templates (.pbit).
  8. In the Microsoft Power BI Desktop, open the interactive report template, provide parameters, and save it as a.pbix file.
  9. Publish and use the shared reports.
