Secured insights for Tableau Server
Row-level security (RLS) on Tableau Server is accomplished by initializing the security access controls into the current session. This results in securing the data from the view based on the security configured in Angles Hub.
Publish a report from Tableau desktop to Tableau server
Open the Tableau report from the Tableau desktop. Go to Server and sign into the server using the credentials.
Drag the required columns and sign in using the database credentials.
After the data is retrieved, go to Server > Publish DataSource> <Report>. The Publish Data Source to Tableau Server window is displayed.
Enter the required details and select Ok.
After the publish is successful, the Tableau service link is opened.
Open a new workbook and select the required columns to view the data. Row-level security is applied as per the current signed-in user’s security access configured in Angles Hub.

The report can be shared with other users. Respective users will be able to obtain the data as per the security access configured in Angles Hub.
