Stage 2: Grant Limited Privileges to AOL Data Wizard

Stage 2 of generation grants select access to some of the FND tables owned by the Application Object Library (AOL) user. InStage 3, synonyms will be created for the tables that are granted in this stage. InStage 4, the information obtained from these tables is used to customize Noetix Views (NoetixViews) for your Oracle E-Business Suite installation.

To begin Stage 2 of the generation process

  1. If you have opted to continue from Stage 1, Stage 2 wizard starts automatically. This wizard performs the steps to grant the Noetix System Administration User account access to the AOL tables.

To connect to this wizard from the main window of Noetix Views Administrator (NoetixViews Administrator), click the button labelled 2 on the toolbar.

Click Next. The next page of the wizard appears.

  2. On this page, provide the logon information for the Oracle E-Business Suite APPS user to grant the Noetix System Administration User account access to the necessary AOL objects. The password for the APPS user should have been gathered during the pre-generation tasks. Type the user name and password of the APPS user in the respective boxes. By default, the database where the user is defined is displayed in the TNS Name box.

NOTE: An Oracle E-Business Suite AOL (APPLSYS) user account can be entered if you have run Stage 2 of the generation process using APPLSYS in the past.

Click Next. The next page of the wizard appears.

  3. On this page, specify whether you want to go to Stage 3 of the generation process after Stage 2 is completed. Depending on the requirement, click Yes (recommended) or No.

Click Finish. A confirmation message is displayed after Stage 2 is completed.
