Add a View
The Add View wizard in the Noetix Views Workbench (NoetixViews Workbench) allows you to add a custom view. By using this wizard, you can add simple, list of values (LoV), and base views. There are two methods in which you can add a custom view in the NoetixViews Workbench. The first method allows you to create a custom view in the NoetixViews Workbench based on an existing view added to the NoetixViews schema using an SQL editing tool. In the second method, you can directly use a .sql file that contains the SQL statement for creating a view.
The following points need to be considered for view addition:
You cannot add a custom view to an environment if Stage 4 has failed for the underlying NoetixViews schema.
You can manage tables and Noetix views corresponding to custom Oracle E-Business Suite applications or applications that are not enabled if they have been fully defined and integrated with the suite. For information, see Manage Tables.
You cannot add a view to an environment if there are customizations in the environment that need to be upgraded. For information about upgrading customizations, see How to Upgrade NoetixViews Workbench Customizations in "Upgrade NoetixViews Workbench Customizations."
For Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.3 and later, your view definition should contain references to the editioning views in place of the corresponding tables.
