System Requirements

The system requirements for Noetix Views 7.1 are as follows:

Important: Make sure that you have the latest service packs and updates for Noetix Views 7.1 and related products.

Prerequisites

This section lists the hardware and software required for installing and using Noetix Views (NoetixViews).

Hardware Requirements

The hardware requirements for Noetix Views are as follows:

• RAM: Minimum 128 MB; recommended 512 MB

• Disk space: 30 MB for the Noetix Views Administrator (NoetixViews Administrator); 200 MB to 1 GB for each NoetixViews instance (depending on modules purchased and volume of data) •

• Tablespace: Minimum size of 1 GB with the AUTOEXTEND feature enabled

• Character set: ASCII or UTF-8 (Non-Western, European multi-byte character sets not supported)

If you intend to install Noetix Enterprise Manager Link Service 7.1 on a computer on which NoetixViews Administrator is installed, make sure that the RAM and disk space requirements for the link service are met. For information, see the “System Requirements” section of the Noetix Metabuilder Release Notes.

Software Requirements

The software requirements for NoetixViews are as follows:

• Oracle E-Business Suite1All the general availability (GA) versions of Noetix Views (NoetixViews) modules except those for Oracle Grants and Oracle Project Manufacturing support Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 and later. All patch releases for Oracle E-Business Suite will be supported based on customers' requests.2NoetixViews for Oracle Project Management requires Oracle Project Management Family Pack M and Release Update Pack 3. : 12.2.15, 12.2.14, 12.2.13, 12.2.12, 12.2.11, 12.2.10
• Oracle Database3NoetixViews supports only those combinations of Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Database versions that are recommended by Oracle Corporation.4To avoid compatibility-related issues, we recommend you to make sure that the client applications and database are of the same versions. : 26ai, 23ai, or 19.3.0.0

Note: You must ensure the following for Oracle Database:

• Reports based on the BOM Current Structured Bills and BOM Current Summary views will fail in database instances of versions prior to 12c of Oracle Data Guard or Oracle Active Data Guard.
• When installing the Oracle Database, the NLS LANG parameter must be set to AMERICAN AMERICA, and the decimal character of the NLS NUMERIC CHARACTERS parameter must be set to “.”
• Operating system: Windows 2025, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, UNIX, or Linux

  Note: For installing and using NoetixViews through scripts on a UNIX/Linux-based computer, the Korn shell must be installed.

• Client applications5In a 64-bit Windows environment, 64-bit Oracle client components are supported. However, Noetix Views Administrator (NoetixViews Administrator) requires 32-bit OCI libraries. Make sure that a 32-bit Oracle client is installed and configured. Additionally, if the ORACLE HOME environment variable is defined, make sure that the 32-bit Oracle client path is specified for the variable. : SQL*Loader (Version 23ai), SQL*Net, and SQL*Plus (version 26ai, 23ai, 19.3.0.0)

Note:

• The NLS LANG environment variable (<NLS LANGUAGE> <NLS TERRITORY>.<NLS CHARACTERSET>) for the SQL*Plus terminal session should be set to AMERICAN AMERICA.UTF8.
• For installing and using NoetixViews through scripts on a UNIX/Linux-based computer, the Korn shell must be installed.
