Angles Hub 26.1 Release Notes

New Features

Revamped Replication Engine

Angles for Oracle now features a fully revamped replication engine, delivering a modernized, high-performance solution for real-time data movement across heterogeneous databases and data warehouses. Built on a microservice architecture, the new engine offers significantly faster replication throughput, improved reliability, and a redesigned user experience/user interface (UX/UI) that simplifies pipeline creation and management. Users can set up secure, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)-encrypted connections to source and target systems, define full-load and Change Data Capture (CDC) replication tasks, and monitor task status, latency, and errors centrally through a unified interface and REST APIs. Least-privilege service account support and validated endpoint connectivity ensure that data replication remains secure and consistent across development, test, and production environments.

Update Replication Package

When editing a replication package, you now have two options to save your changes:

  • Update Schedule: Use this option to save changes exclusively to the schedule, such as updating the cron expression, without altering the rest of the package configuration or triggering a full load.

  • Save Package: Use this option to save changes to the overall package configuration. Selecting the Save Package option triggers initialization, requiring a full load.

To access the Update Schedule and Save Package options, select the Replication icon, edit an existing package, and go to the Schedule section.

Single Table Refresh

You can now perform a full load for a single table without refreshing the entire package. To achieve this, click the Replication icon, edit the package, and go to the Content tab. On the Content tab, enable the Custom Table Refresh switch, select the desired table, and click Refresh.

Replication Page UI Enhancements

This release includes several improvements to the Replication page user interface (UI), covering status accuracy, user interaction, and overall visual consistency.

  • Updated the Replication page UI to accurately display incremental and initial package run statuses (Scheduled, Running, Completed, Failed, and Timed Out) in sync with the backend.

  • Updated the Replication page UI to enable or disable action buttons (Initialize, Pause, Resume, etc.) based on the package state. These controls are disabled while the package is running and enabled when it is not.

  • Introduced Pause and Resume button functionality on the Replication page UI, enabling users to pause and resume replication tasks.

  • Introduced a Custom Table Refresh feature that allows users to enable or disable the custom table refresh flow. When enabled, users can select specific tables using checkboxes and refresh them individually. When disabled, the single-table refresh option is not available.

  • Made several UI improvements to the Replication page, including updated labels and layout adjustments for improved clarity and visual consistency.

Fixed Issues

Database User Authentication

When you queried a view after logging in as a registered database user, no data was retrieved despite valid Access Control List (ACL), operating unit, and role assignments configured in Angles Hub due to permissions not being correctly applied during the authentication flow.

Download Simba Gateway

When you navigated to the Simba Gateway download link in Angles Hub, the link was not working.

Migrate Existing Users (Noetix Security Manager Users) to Angles Hub

When you attempted to migrate existing user mappings into Angles Hub using the Migrate Existing Users option in the BI Tool application, the migration process failed.
