Configure Data Security for Oracle-E Business Suite (EBS)
Before configuring data security for Oracle-E Business Suite (EBS), ensure that you have set up the Oracle EBS connection.
To configure data security for Oracle-E Business Suite (EBS), sign in to the Angles Hub and perform the following steps:
You can also enable or disable security for a registered data source connection.
Register Data Source Application
Click Administrator > Application Registration > Register application. The Application tab is displayed.
Select the Application type as Data Source.
Enter the required details, such as Application name, data source type, source and target connections.
Select Same IDP if same IDP is used for EBS and Hub.
Click Users. The Users tab is displayed.
Click Add user.
To map the EBS user to the Hub user, enter the required details, and then click Add user.
Register BI Tool Application
Click Administrator > Application Registration > Register application. The Application tab is displayed.
Select the Application type as BI Tool.
Enter the name (friendly name) for the application that you are registering.
Enter the type of the BI tool your organization uses to generate reports.
Enter the name of the BI Tool Server your organization uses.
Provide the data source that has to be linked to the BI tool application.
Select Same IDP if same IDP is used for EBS and Hub.
Click Users. The Users tab is displayed.
Click Add user.
To map Hub to BI Tool, enter the required details, and then click Add user.
Configure Access Control List (ACL)
To configure security access control list (ACL) for the user, sign in to the Angles Hub application and perform the following steps:
Click Administrator > Application Registration. The Application Registration tab is displayed.
Click the ellipsis icon for the data source application you want configure ACL. A window is displayed.
Click Edit > Users. The Users tab is displayed.
Click the ellipsis icon for the user you want to configure ACL. A window is displayed.
Click Configure ACL. The Security Access Control List for <user> window is displayed.

Under a organizational unit, such as Operating Unit, Business Unit, or Ledger, perform the following to configure user access:
Select Organization Module: Select the relevant organization module to which you want to grant user access. This determines the functional area the user will interact with (For example, inventory, finance, HR).

Select Security Mapping: Specify how the user's access control list (ACL) should be derived:
Derive from EBS: Access is inherited from Oracle E-Business Suite.
Custom: Manually configure access by selecting specific data elements.
In the Available Access Control List for Selection, select the data elements you want the user to access. Click Update to apply the changes. You can view the data the user currently has access to in the Granted Access Control List section.
Repeat the above steps for each relevant organizational unit to ensure comprehensive access configuration across the enterprise.
Enable Or Disable Security
To enable or disable security for the registered data source application, sign in to the Angles Hub
application and perform the following steps:
Click Administrator > Application Registration. The Application Registration tab is displayed.
Click the ellipsis icon for the data source application you want to enable or disable security. A window is displayed.
Click Enable Security or Disable Security to enable or disable the data source application.
